About

Hi there, I’m Jen

I am a therapist specializing in helping individuals and couples build healthy, meaningful relationships. If you're feeling disconnected—whether from your partner, a friend, or a family member—I'm here to help. I know how loneliness and lack of connection can affect every part of your life, making it hard to maintain existing relationships and form new ones. If you find yourself stuck in the same arguments with your partner, feeling like you’re going in circles, I can help you break the cycle.

In our work together, we will explore how your life experiences might be influencing the way you show up in the world today. By supporting your nervous system’s natural ability to grow and change, we work towards building greater self-trust and resilience. My hope is to guide you toward healing and positive transformation so that you can show up as your most authentic self in your relationships and your life.

How Counseling Can Help.jpg

My Approach

People heal in connection and one way we can connect is by telling our story. Our story is made up of our past experiences, and each experience is like a piece of a puzzle. When a part of our story is traumatic, painful, or overwhelming, our body has a hard time differentiating between that trauma and the present moment. By talking to someone and telling our story we are putting the pieces of the puzzle together. As those pieces come together and become part of a bigger picture, our brain and body will begin to make sense of our story, our world, and how our life experiences have affected us. By making sense of our story we start the process of understanding our own mind, which will lead to a healthier relationship with ourselves, our family, and our community.

I incorporate a variety of approaches into my work, drawing on insights from neuroscience and interpersonal neurobiology to inform healing at the deepest levels. Additionally, I am a certified Relational Life Therapist and a certified STAIR Method therapist. I weave these approaches in with other modalities like inner community, ETT, Coherence Therapy, boundary work, self-compassion practices, and sand tray therapy, and attachment theory.

These evidence-based methods promote lasting change, empowering you to heal old wounds and create new patterns that support healthier, more connected relationships.

Let's meet!

Finding the right therapist can be tough. I’m here to demystify this process and support you every step of the way. To help us connect and see if we’re a good fit, I offer a free consultation via phone or video call. We will meet for about 15 to 20 minutes. This is a time for us to get to know each other better. I’ll learn more about the support you’re seeking, explain how I might approach our work together, and answer any questions you may have. I am looking forward to connecting with you soon!

Couples Therapy

I specialize in helping couples navigate and enhance their relationships by focusing on essential aspects of connection and communication. I support those who want to learn effective strategies for ensuring both partners get more of what they desire and who seek to shift from making complaints to making constructive requests. For couples who struggle with repairing their relationship, I guide communicating with love and clarity. I also help those feeling trapped in recurring conflicts by offering tools to break the cycle and address ongoing issues. Additionally, I guide clients in establishing healthy boundaries, both personally and within their relationships, while fostering trust, open communication, and transformative change.

Couples Intensive

What is an Intensive?

Before our first session, I will meet with you and your partner to determine if an intensive fits your relational needs. Typically, sessions will last 2-3 hours at a time and will not exceed 20 hours total. This is completed over 5-6 weeks rather than 5-6 months. After our final intensive session, I will schedule 2-3 follow-up sessions as needed.

I charge my hourly rate of $220 for intensives, with a total investment of $4,400. An initial payment of $400 is required to reserve your spot. That amount will be applied to your first session fee.

What skills will we practice?

  • Clearly identify what a healthy, happy relationship means to you and your partner

  • Understand what you are doing that might be helpful in other relationships but not this one

  • Learn how to set boundaries with yourself and others so that you can be connected and protected

  • Practice skills that promote healthy self-esteem, relational esteem, and compassion

  • Identify one or more problematic patterns in how you interact and communicate

  • Talk about practices that will help interrupt those unhelpful patterns

  • Practice and learn new ways of relating that will provide a foundation for healthy patterns to grow and thrive

  • Co-create a plan for how to maintain relational health and well-being once our intensive concludes
